Well, this is the end of Jack Burns Lives. I’ll be taking the site down after the next billing cycle to focus on my new endeavor.
Hang onto this domain name, because we all know that Jack Burns can never die.
Good luck with your next endeavor.
Well, it appears I’ve paid for the site for the year. I thought it was month to month, but I bought an annual package. Guess I’m staying for a while.
Well, there are two things happening. One, I’m trying to spend more time writing something real, which takes a lot of time. I have someone that wants to edit a book, an idea she came up with for me to write, but I really don’t care for the subject much as the subject is myself. I have a better idea.
And, we are moving. Austin is definitely coming about, I’d say. My wife is entering the ranks of the unemployed soon, so that clears a hurdle, and she’s ready to dump the Bible belt. I’ve got things more or less set up for us to move quickly, perhaps by end of summer.
I just haven’t had time for blogging, and hell, only a handful of people ever listen regardless. Let’s face it. Edward Abbey and eco-anarchism only appeals to a small group of people. Which, of course, convinces me, more than ever, that I’m right.
Sean, did you make it to Austin?
Haha, I love the book idea. I’ve recently devoted myself to writing a lot more, about what, that’s the question. The move westward has been a longtime coming for you. I did make it to Austin…though Texas, or should I say TexaNS scare me so I came back east. I liked Austin, friendly people, a ton to do and see, beautiful outdoors for a city and live music any night you want, also Lonestar beer. Downside…it’s in Texas. My girlfriend is moving back to Monterrey, Mexico for college(ella no tiene papeles) so I’m sure I’ll be down in that vicinity quite a bit. I’m heading back to school to get my masters in journalism…there just aren’t enough good story tellers out there. I want to be able to use film, writing and photography to tell them. I’m waiting on American University(my first choice), University of Maryland and Syracuse. Just reread some old Abbey books, I forgot how much I loved those…
